COVID-19 and Worship
July 15, 2020 Update
Crossroads Baptist Church is excited to be fully reopened and reaching our community. Our service schedule is back to normal with the Sunday School hour at 9:30 and the morning worship service at 10:30. We are still taking the following precautions:
- We have hand sanitizing stations throughout our facility for your convenience.
- As per the Surgeon Generals recommendation, social distancing is still encouraged.
- We do not require face masks to enter.
- If you or someone you have come in contact with in the last 14 days have had a fever or cough we ask you to remain at home.
- Those with a weak immune system should remain home.
- Our facility is deep cleaned after every service
March 24, 2020 Update
Due to the executive order to for Indiana residents to now stay at home until April 7, our church is modifying our schedule. As of Wednesday, March 25, we will be unable to conduct any public services including our midweek Bible study, Truth Trackers, and Sunday worship services until Wednesday, April 8. Please take note the buildings will not be open for public use during this time.
Please know that even though we are unable to assemble together, this does not stop us from being a church. We will still have our regular service schedule that will be broadcast for everyone to watch from home. We urge all of our church family to please join each of our services via livestream from our Facebook page as well as our website, cbcwanatah.com We also still have the responsibility as a church to pray one for another and serve people in this time of need.
Please be in prayer for our community, our state, and our country at this time. We know there are a lot of people affected by these changing conditions and as a church, we want to be sensitive to the needs of people.

In the midst of a time of concern and uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, also known as “coronavirus”, we want to ensure that our church remains a safe and functional place of ministry for the people God has placed in our area of influence. Earlier this week our governor issued several initiatives to help keep the people of Indiana as safe as possible during this concerning time.
Crossroads Baptist Church would like to support our church family and entire community in following the recommendations from those in positions of authority. In response our church will follow the following guidelines

- We will continue to hold our regular schedule of public services. Public assemblies have been asked to limit their gatherings to no more than 250 persons, if this number changes, we will adjust our schedules to accommodate.
- We will limit our personal contact with one another during our time of assembly. Typically, we encourage personal greetings and shaking hands with people, but due to the concerns and advice from healthcare professionals, we will refrain from this for the time being.
- We will ensure our buildings are clean, sanitized, and safe for all our congregants at all times. All of the equipment and toys in our nursery and children’s ministries will be properly cleaned after each use, and we will maintain a high standard of hygiene for all of our workers.
- We will ask anyone who is feeling sick or experiencing flu-like symptoms to please remain home. Likewise, those with weakened immune systems should limit their exposure to the general public.
- We will trust God at all times for our personal and national wellbeing. We recognize this is not a time to panic, but rather draw closer to our Heavenly Father.
- We will remain united as a church family during this time. If you should have any special needs that our church or pastor can assist with, please do not hesitate to contact us. Someone will be available to answer your phone call, email, or message; and we would count it an honor to help minister to your needs.
- We will communicate any updates or changes to this situation to our church family through our social platforms and public meetings.
